Our earlier review left an open question: one public review profile said its Canadian website had closed, while other reviews described it as active. This time we went to Barz itself, reading its site footer, its general terms and conditions (version 6.3, updated July 2, 2026), its welcome-offer terms and its loyalty and VIP pages. The question now has an answer, and so do the details our first version could only report second-hand.
Quick take: Barz is still open to Canadians outside Ontario. It is run by White Hat Gaming, the Malta-licensed company behind Casimba, Dream Vegas and Casilime, so the licensing is solid by offshore standards. The welcome package starts with 150% up to C$500 plus 50 free spins, but its 40x wagering applies to your deposit and bonus together, which makes it expensive to clear. Is Barz Still Open in Canada?
Yes. The closure notice we flagged earlier applies to an old domain, barzcasino.ca, which no longer loads. The casino itself runs at barz.com, which has English and French Canadian versions of the site. Canada is not on the long list of restricted countries in Barz’s terms, and Canadian review sites updated their Barz pages in October 2026.
Ontario is the exception. Barz is not registered with iGaming Ontario, so Ontario residents should choose one of the AGCO-licensed Ontario casinos instead. Players elsewhere in Canada can register, but it is an offshore site, not one licensed by a Canadian province. Who Runs Barz
Barz’s footer states that it is a brand managed by White Hat Gaming Limited, registered in Malta under company number C73232, with an office at 85 St John Street in Valletta. White Hat holds licence MGA/B2C/370/2017 from the Malta Gaming Authority, which covers players outside Great Britain, including Canadians. Its UK Gambling Commission licence (account 52894) applies only to British players.
The Malta Gaming Authority is one of the stricter offshore regulators. It requires segregated player funds, certified games and a formal complaints route, which is more protection than Curaçao or Anjouan casinos offer. It still isn’t a Canadian regulator, so a dispute would go to White Hat and then to the MGA, not to a provincial body.

The Welcome Package
Barz splits its welcome offer over three deposits. The version of the site we could load showed the amounts in euros. Canadian sites quote the first deposit as 150% up to C$500 plus 50 free spins, the same figure, but one Canadian review lists smaller second and third deposits, so check your cashier before you deposit:

The Terms That Matter
- Wagering: 40 times the total of the deposit, the bonus and any free spin winnings. Barz’s FAQ page still says 35x, but the current promotion terms (version 4.2) say 40x, and the promotion terms are the ones that apply.
- Free spin cap: winnings from deposit free spins are capped at 20, and are paid as bonus funds.
- Maximum bet: 5 per spin or hand while the bonus is active. Betting more can cost you all your winnings.
- Minimum deposit: 20 for each of the three deposits.
- Time limits: 30 days for bonus funds and 10 days for free spins.
- Excluded methods: Skrill and Neteller deposits don’t qualify.
- Game weighting: slots count in full, while table and live games count far less, according to Canadian reviews.
What 40x on Deposit Plus Bonus Costs
Deposit C$100 and the 150% match adds C$150, so you need to wager 40 times C$250, or C$10,000, within 30 days. On slots returning 96%, that costs about C$400 on average, more than twice the bonus. To collect the whole package you would need to deposit around C$5,800 across three deposits for about C$2,250 in bonus money, and then wager over C$320,000. Loyalty, VIP and Giveaways
Barz’s loyalty points are called Drumsticks. You get 500 with your first deposit, then earn 2 for every 10 wagered on slots, with fewer on table games. Every 1,000 Drumsticks converts to 5 in bonus funds, which carry 40x wagering and expire after 30 days, though there is no cap on what you can win from them. That works out to 5 in bonus funds for every 5,000 wagered on slots, a return of 0.1% before the 40x is applied, which is very modest.
The VIP programme has four levels and is by invitation only. Members get a personal account manager, high-roller bonuses, cashback deals and VIP tournaments, and their status is reviewed every 30 to 60 days. Players who are VIPs at another casino can apply for a fast track by email.
The regular promotions centre on prize draws: a weekly Mini Cash Giveaway with a 500 pool, a 30,000 Mega Cash Giveaway, and a Major draw worth 10,000 in prizes or a safari holiday. There is also Rock ‘n’ Reel, a daily free spin of a prize wheel that can award match bonuses or free spins.

The international version of its lobby that we could load listed about 6,500 titles, so the Canadian selection may be smaller because of licensing by game studio. Canadian reviews list Interac, iDebit, Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer and Flexepin, along with e-wallets. One older listing still includes InstaDebit, which shut down on April 30, 2026, so ignore it. Withdrawal Timeline and Limits
- Pending period: 1 to 2 days, then up to 3 working days to reach you, depending on the method. Casinos.com reports Interac payouts in under 24 hours once approved, and about 3 business days for cards and bank transfers.

- Weekly limit: the terms we read set a maximum of 5,000 euros a week, which VIPs can have raised. A large win is paid out over several weeks.

- Extra checks: Barz may ask for more documents at any time, for example once your deposits reach 2,000 euros in total.
- Inactivity fee: after 12 months with no deposits or bets, 5 euros a month is deducted from your balance, with 30 days’ notice.

There is no Barz app; the site runs in your mobile browser. Barz says its support team is available around the clock by live chat and email, although gambling.com’s reviewers found support helpful but not always available. There is no phone line.
