Wildz and Ontario
Wildz’s parent company reached an agreement with iGaming Ontario and opened Wildz to Ontario residents on January 31, 2023, alongside Wheelz, Spinz and Caxino. In October 2025 it closed all four to Ontario players, having stopped new sign-ups the month before. The company said it was ending its consumer business in the province and would look for technology partnerships there instead.
So if you are in Ontario, Wildz is not available to you, whatever older reviews say. It does not appear in iGaming Ontario’s directory. The sites that do are listed in our ranking of Ontario-licensed casinos, and PlayOJO and LeoVegas are the closest in style.
Licensing, Ownership and Trust
Wildz is run by Wildz Group, the company formerly known as Rootz, which builds its own casino platform. In September 2025 the group moved its casinos from Rootz Ltd to a new company, Granturo Malta Ltd, so for Canadians outside Ontario Wildz now operates under Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/B2C/1079/2025 instead of the old MGA/B2C/599/2018. The new licence covers its sister sites too. The MGA is one of the stricter international regulators and requires player funds to be kept separate from the operator’s own money, and Wildz’s games are reported to be audited by eCOGRA.
It is still an offshore licence from a Canadian point of view. If you have a dispute you cannot resolve with the casino, it goes to the Maltese regulator or an approved dispute service, not to a provincial body.
