What Happened to CasiGO
The notice on CasiGO’s website says Two Shepherds Limited decided to cease operations and begin surrendering its MGA licence. Access to five casinos was switched off on March 11, 2026 so the company could wind down: CasiGO, Jonny Jackpot, Captain Spins, Vegas Lounge and Jackpot Lounge. The notice gives no reason for the decision.
A surrender is not the same as the regulator taking a licence away. The operator chose to stop. Under the MGA’s process, a company handing back its licence has to tell the regulator how and when it will settle every outstanding player balance. That is the main protection you have if you still have money there.
The closure notice ends by pointing players to a different casino with a welcome offer attached. That is the operator’s commercial recommendation, not ours, and we have not reviewed that site.
One correction to our earlier review: it described CasiGO as a sister site of Casimba and Dream Vegas. The closure notice names Two Shepherds Limited as CasiGO’s operator. Casimba and Dream Vegas run under White Hat Gaming’s MGA licence, and both were still open when we last checked them in October 2026.
If You Still Have Money at CasiGO
The operator says your account and funds stay protected and that every balance will be settled. To claim yours:
- Email support@casigo.com from the address registered to your account. Give your username and the balance you can see, and ask for a withdrawal. The team works Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Central European Time, which is overnight to late morning in Canada.
- Have your ID ready. If your account was never fully verified, expect to be asked for documents before any payout. Send them only by replying to an email from that address.
- Keep a record. Save your last balance screenshot, your deposit receipts and every email in both directions.
- Escalate to the regulator if it stalls. If you get no reply or no payment after a reasonable wait, complain to the Malta Gaming Authority through its player support service on mga.org.mt. Include your records and the dates you contacted support.
Be wary of anyone who contacts you offering to “recover” a CasiGO balance for a fee. Closures attract recovery scams. The operator and the MGA are the only routes, and neither charges you. Our guide to keeping your personal and financial information secure covers the warning signs.
Was CasiGO Ever Available in Canada?
Never in Ontario. CasiGO was not registered with iGaming Ontario, so Ontario players could not legally sign up. For the rest of Canada, reviews disagreed in the months before the closure. Some listed Canadians as accepted and others did not. It no longer matters, as the site is closed everywhere.
What CasiGO Offered Before It Closed
For anyone looking up an old account or bonus, this is what our previous review recorded. CasiGO launched in 2020 and was a slots-led casino with a live dealer section. Reviews put its library at 1,500 to 2,800 games from studios including Play’n GO, NetEnt, Games Global and Red Tiger. Its last advertised welcome package ran across four deposits, worth up to roughly C$1,100 with 375 free spins. Reviewers praised its fee-free withdrawals but criticised its low withdrawal limits for non-VIP players. None of these offers or terms apply any more.
Where to Play Instead
If you liked CasiGO for its Malta-licensed, slot-heavy lobby, these casinos are still open to Canadians outside Ontario:
- Casimba: MGA-licensed under White Hat Gaming, with Interac listed and payouts in around 48 hours.
- Dream Vegas: the same licence holder as Casimba, with 3,400+ games and Interac, though its wagering is heavy.
- Spinz: a newer MGA-licensed casino from the Wildz Group, with 4,400+ games and Interac.
In Ontario, use only casinos registered with iGaming Ontario. We list them in our ranking of regulated Ontario casinos. Players everywhere else can compare current options on our real money casinos page. To lower your exposure if a casino ever closes on you, keep balances small and withdraw winnings regularly. Our fast payout casinos page lists sites that pay out quickly.
