Live Casino Game Shows Canada 2026: Crazy Time, Monopoly and More

Live game shows are the loudest corner of an online casino. A host in a TV-style studio spins a giant wheel or drops balls into a machine, and random multipliers can turn a C$1 bet into hundreds or thousands of dollars. They are fun, they are cheap to join, and Crazy Time alone has more players at peak hours than most casinos’ whole blackjack lobbies.

They are also, mathematically, closer to slots than to table games. Most game show bets return somewhere between 94% and 96.5%, and the bet you choose can matter more than the show you pick. This page compares the main game shows available to Canadian players, explains how they work, and shows which bets give you the most play for your money.

Quick answer: Crazy Time, Monopoly Live and Dream Catcher are the big three, all from Evolution. Expect a return of roughly 94% to 96.5% depending on the game and the bet, compared with 97.3% for European roulette and over 99% for well-played blackjack. Low-number bets usually return the most and the flashiest bonus bets the least. Most bonuses count game shows at 0% to 20%, so treat them as entertainment with a budget, not a way to clear wagering.

About this list. These are our general picks for players outside Ontario and Alberta, ranked by our overall review score. Every casino on it runs a live dealer lobby, but which game shows you get depends on the studios it works with. Evolution titles such as Crazy Time and Monopoly Live need an Evolution lobby, and Mega Wheel needs Pragmatic Play Live. Check the lobby for the show you want before you deposit. If you live in Ontario or Alberta, play at a provincially licensed site instead (see the section on provincial sites further down).

What Is a Live Casino Game Show?

A game show is a live dealer game built around a big, simple event: a wheel spin, a dice roll or a ball draw. You bet on the outcome during a short betting window. If you are right, you are paid at a fixed rate, and some outcomes launch a bonus round with extra multipliers.

Three things separate game shows from the classic live tables covered in our hub for live dealer casinos in Canada:

  • Random multipliers. Software adds multipliers to some bet spots before or during a round. The host spins a real wheel, but the multipliers come from a random number generator.
  • Bonus rounds. Landing a bonus segment triggers a second game, usually with a much bigger prize range. This is where the large wins happen, and where most of each bet’s value is spent.
  • No skill. There are no decisions after the bet. The only choice that changes your expected return is which spots you bet on.

Game shows also have the lowest minimum bets in the live casino, often C$0.10 to C$0.20 a spot, which makes them a common entry point for new live players.

The Main Live Game Shows Compared

Returns below are the ranges reported for each game, rounded. They vary by bet, and the exact figures for the version you play are listed in the game’s help or info screen.

Game show Studio Format Typical return (RTP) Best for
Crazy Time Evolution 54-segment money wheel, Top Slot multipliers, four bonus games About 94.4% to 96.1% Big multipliers and variety
Monopoly Live Evolution 54-segment wheel with a 3D Monopoly board bonus Up to about 96.2%, lower on some bonus bets Monopoly fans, medium volatility
Dream Catcher Evolution Simple money wheel with 2x and 7x multiplier segments Up to about 96.6% on the best bet First-time game show players
Funky Time Evolution Digital wheel with letter bets and four bonus rounds About 96.0% Crazy Time players who want a change
Lightning Roulette Evolution European roulette with random 50x to 500x multipliers About 97.1% to 97.3% Roulette players who want a game show twist
Lightning Dice Evolution Three dice in a tower, multipliers on totals About 96.0% to 96.2% Fast rounds
Deal or No Deal Live Evolution Qualifying wheel, then a briefcase round with banker offers Varies by stage; check the help screen TV show fans
Mega Wheel Pragmatic Play Live 54-segment number wheel with a random multiplied number About 95.3% to 96.5% by number A simpler Pragmatic alternative

Lightning Roulette sits at the top because it is still roulette underneath. If you want that format in depth, our page on Lightning Roulette odds and multipliers works through it.

Crazy Time

Evolution’s flagship and the most-played live game show in the world. The wheel has 54 segments: four number bets (1, 2, 5 and 10) and four bonus games (Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko and the Crazy Time round itself). Before each spin, a Top Slot pairs one bet spot with a random multiplier. Bonus games can produce multipliers up to 20,000x, although a per-round payout cap applies.

The trade-off is that the bets with the biggest dreams return the least. The number 1 sits near the top of the RTP range and the Crazy Time and Pachinko bonus bets near the bottom. The Crazy Time segment appears once on the wheel, so it lands about once every 54 spins. Our full breakdown of Crazy Time bets and bonus rounds covers each segment’s odds.

Monopoly Live

A Hasbro-licensed wheel with 48 numbered segments and six bonus segments. The 2 Rolls and 4 Rolls bonuses move Mr Monopoly around a 3D board, collecting prizes from property squares, while Chance segments award a cash prize or a multiplier for the next spin. It is a little less volatile than Crazy Time, with the number bets returning up to about 96.2%. Our explainer on how Monopoly Live pays goes through each bet.

Dream Catcher

The original money wheel game show, launched before Crazy Time and still the easiest to follow. You bet on six numbers, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 40, each paying its own value, and two multiplier segments (2x and 7x) boost the next spin. There are no bonus games, so the swings are smaller. The lower-number bets carry the best returns, about 96.6% at the top, while the long-shot 40 returns less. Betway and Royal Vegas are among the casinos where our reviews found it.

Funky Time, Lightning Dice, Deal or No Deal and Others

Funky Time is a disco-themed Crazy Time follow-up with a 64-segment digital wheel, letter bets and four bonus rounds, returning about 96%. Lightning Dice drops three dice through a tower and adds multipliers to some totals, with returns of about 96.0% to 96.2%. Deal or No Deal Live makes you qualify on a wheel before you play the briefcase round against the banker’s offers. On the Pragmatic Play side, Mega Wheel is a cleaner wheel with a single multiplied number each round, and Sweet Bonanza CandyLand turns the slot into a live wheel.

Which Game Show Bets Cost the Least?

Across almost every wheel game show, the same pattern holds: the plain number bets return more than the bonus bets, and the rarest bonus usually returns least of all. That is because part of every bet funds the multipliers, and the big bonus rounds carry the most expensive slice.

Game Usually the better-value bets Usually the costliest bets
Crazy Time Number 1 and Number 2 Crazy Time and Pachinko
Monopoly Live Low numbers The Rolls bonus bets
Dream Catcher 1 and 2 The 40

The gaps look small, one or two percentage points, but they compound. C$500 of bets on a 96% bet costs about C$20 on average. The same C$500 at 94.4% costs about C$28. Over a few sessions, that difference is more than most players win from a bonus round.

Covering every segment, a popular approach, does not help. You will land a win on most spins, but you pay the average return of all your bets on every spin, which includes the expensive ones. Betting systems that raise stakes after losses also fail here for the same reason they fail at roulette, as our breakdown of casino strategies that actually help explains.

Game Shows vs Table Games and Slots

Game shows usually return less than table games. European roulette returns 97.3%, live baccarat’s Banker bet 98.94% and blackjack with basic strategy over 99%. Our comparison of live blackjack tables in Canada shows the strongest options. Against slots, game shows hold up well: a 95% to 96% game show sits in the same range as an average online slot, with a real studio and a host on screen.

Speed matters too. A Crazy Time round, including the betting window, takes well under a minute, and bonus rounds stretch it. That is far slower than an RNG slot, so the cost per hour at the same stake is usually lower. For the full ranking of games by return, see the casino games with the best odds, and for what an RTP of 95% means over a session, our explainer on return to player percentages.

Game Shows and Casino Bonuses

Game shows count poorly toward bonus wagering at most casinos, and often not at all while a live bonus is active. Among the casinos we review, BetPlays counts roulette and game shows at 20%, which is generous by industry standards. Many others count live games at 0% or exclude them entirely. At 20%, a C$100 bonus with 35x wagering needs C$17,500 of game show bets to clear.

If you mainly play game shows, the better bonus types are those that pay back on any game: cashback paid at low wagering or offers with no wagering requirements at all. Our explainer on how welcome bonus weighting works shows how to read the contribution table before you opt in.

Game Shows at Ontario and Alberta Licensed Sites

Ontario’s regulated casinos carry the full Evolution game show range. 888 Casino runs MONOPOLY Live, Deal or No Deal, Crazy Coin Flip, Funky Time and Treasure Island, and our Betway review found Monopoly Live, Dream Catcher, Lightning Dice and Deal or No Deal. Our list of AGCO-registered Ontario casinos covers the rest of the market.

In Alberta, the regulated market opened on July 13, 2026, and our page on licensed Alberta online casinos tracks the brands that are live. Elsewhere in Canada, offshore casinos are the main source of game shows. bwin lists close to 20 game shows including Crazy Time, Wildz runs Deal or No Deal, Dream Catcher and Monopoly from Evolution, and Wheelz adds Pragmatic Play’s Mega Wheel. By contrast, our Dream Vegas review found no Evolution tables at all, so none of Evolution’s shows.

What to Look For in a Game Show Casino

  • The right studios. Evolution for Crazy Time, Monopoly Live, Dream Catcher and Funky Time; Pragmatic Play Live for Mega Wheel and Sweet Bonanza CandyLand.
  • Low minimums. Look for C$0.10 or C$0.20 per spot if you like to spread small bets. Our page on low minimum deposit casinos pairs well with this style of play.
  • A stable stream on your phone. Most game show play happens on mobile. Our ranking of Canadian casino apps and mobile sites covers performance.
  • Fast cashouts. A bonus round hit is only worth something once it is in your bank. Start with our ranking of the fastest paying casinos in Canada.

How to Start Playing a Live Game Show

  1. Choose a licensed casino with the show you want. Check the live lobby before you register.
  2. Deposit. Interac casino deposits are the most common route in Canada.
  3. Open the help screen. It lists every bet, its payout and its RTP.
  4. Watch a few rounds. You can usually sit in without betting until the format makes sense.
  5. Bet small and favour the better-value spots. Add bonus bets as a smaller share of your stake if you want a shot at the big rounds.
  6. Set a session budget. Bonus rounds can go a long time without landing.

How We Assess Game Show Casinos

We check which studios a casino uses and which shows it runs, the minimum and maximum stakes, how the live stream performs on mobile, and how bonus terms weight live games. Licensing, withdrawal speed and complaints come from our full reviews and our casino rating process.

Enjoy the Show, Within a Budget

Game shows are designed to feel like television, and the constant near-misses on the bonus segments keep you watching. Decide what a session is worth to you before you start, stop when it is spent, and never chase a bonus round. If gambling stops being fun, our page on responsible gambling support in Canada lists helplines and self-exclusion programs by province.
