BetPlays arrived in Canada in 2022 and has collected good ratings from larger review sites, thanks to a big-percentage welcome bonus, thousands of games, a sportsbook and both Interac and crypto banking. Much of what those reviews say is now out of date. When we went back to BetPlays’ own footer, bonus terms and terms of service in October 2026, we found a different licence and much stricter bonus rules than reviews describe.
Quick take: BetPlays is now licensed in Anjouan, a lighter regime than the Curaçao licence most reviews still quote. Its 200% welcome bonus carries 60x wagering, expires in seven days and plays your own money before the bonus. Winnings from a first-deposit bonus can be converted to real money only up to eight times the bonus. Non-VIP withdrawals are capped at €2,000 a day and €5,000 a week. It is a decent place to play with your own money. The bonus is one to skip.

Licensing: From Curaçao to Anjouan
Our earlier review, like most still online, said BetPlays was run by Creative Alliance N.V. under a Curaçao licence. BetPlays’ own footer now tells a different story. The brand is managed by a Cyprus company, CASL Creative Alliance Solutions, on behalf of Creative Alliance Solutions Limited, a company incorporated in Anjouan, part of the Union of the Comoros. It operates under licence ALSI-202408023-FI2 from the Government of Anjouan, and its own FAQ confirms the Anjouan licence. Neither company appears on the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s current licence register.
Anjouan licences are quick and inexpensive to obtain, and the regulator has very little record of stepping in for players. If a withdrawal is disputed, there is no realistic regulator to take it to, so the casino’s own terms are your main protection. The Welcome Bonus
BetPlays’ banners currently offer a first-deposit casino bonus of 200% with 50 free spins, rising to 225% with 200 spins and 250% with 250 spins for larger deposits. Sports players can choose 200% plus a free bet instead. The minimum deposit for any bonus is €20 or the equivalent. Older reviews quote a 200% match up to C$2,000 with 42x to 48x wagering over 14 days. BetPlays’ current bonus terms are stricter.
The Terms That Matter
- Wagering: 60x for casino bonuses and free spins, unless the promotion says otherwise. No-deposit bonuses carry 99x.
- Time limit: seven days, after which the bonus expires.
- Own money first: your real balance is used before any bonus money, and only bets made with bonus money count towards wagering.
- Conversion cap: on a first-deposit bonus, the most you can convert to real money is eight times the bonus. Other bonuses are capped at 20 times.
- Withdrawing early: requesting a withdrawal voids any active bonus. The terms also say that if wagering is not complete, withdrawals are limited to the amount of your original deposit.
- Game weighting: slots, scratch cards and keno count 100%; roulette and game shows 20%; live blackjack, baccarat and poker, instant and crash games 10%.
What That Means in Practice
Deposit C$100 and take the 200% bonus, and you have C$100 of your own money plus a C$200 bonus. You play your C$100 first. Only once it is gone does the bonus come into play, and only those bonus-funded bets count. At 60x on the C$200 bonus, you need C$12,000 in bets within seven days. On slots returning 96%, that much play costs about C$480 on average, well over twice the bonus. If you do get through it, the 8x cap means the most you can convert is C$1,600.
The early-withdrawal rule is the one to ask about. Read literally, it could limit what you take out to your C$100 deposit even if you win with your own money while the bonus is still active. The terms set clear withdrawal limits:
- Non-VIP players: up to €2,000 a day and €5,000 in any rolling seven-day period.
- VIP players: no daily limit, but €8,000 per seven days. VIP status is given at BetPlays’ discretion.
- One at a time: only one withdrawal can be pending, and some methods allow one request per 24 hours.
- Big wins: wins over €50,000 can be paid in monthly instalments of up to €50,000, though progressive jackpots are paid in full.
So a €20,000 win would take at least four weeks to withdraw as a regular player. Before your first withdrawal, expect to send ID, proof of address, photos of both sides of any card you used (with the middle digits covered), a bank statement and proof that any e-wallet is yours.
